【DESCRIPTION】 Title Antique Novel w/tasteful illustrations Publication Year ?? Meiji period (1868-1912) or Before Japanese Style Stiched Binding
This item seems to be a novel and has many tasteful illustrations (including colored one). It seems that the stage of this novel is in Edo period, so on illustration pages you can see people wearing fabulous kimono and city sight. (approx 13 pages for illustrations) We can see one couple often in those illustrations, so it can be assumed the story of their love.
The first illustration is the one of Sumida-gawa river which flows through Tokyo. It is famous river and still we have a big fireworks festival alongside in summer time.
On its cover, flowers are drawn by Sumi ink. Japanese Style Stiched Binding accordion folded pages size approx 12cm×18cm approx 75 pages
