This book was published to commemorate 10th anniversary of publishing of the quilt magazine 'Patchwork Tsushin', introducing 180 quilters in Japan and their works.
All photos are printed in color.
There are English translations on each page for the titles of works, names of quilters and their comments.
Ms. Jinny Beyer, a quilt lecturer in U.S. and Canada, says in this book (text in English),
'There is, perhaps, one thing that sets the Japanese quilts, as a group, apart from American quilts and that is the exquisite workmanship of the Japanese quilters.
While you find many fine examples of workmanship in American quilts, it seems that the vast majority of Japanese quilts exhibit a meticulousness in workmanship that is unequaled anywhere else.
