This item was published to celebrate 60th aniversary of Showa period (accession to the throne).
This item comes with 4 records and tasteful wooden case.
Showa period had 64 years from 1926 to 1989.
Emperor Showa (April 29, 1901 – January 7, 1989) was the 124th Emperor of Japan according to the traditional order of succession, reigning from December 25, 1926 until his death in 1989. In the English-speaking world, he is best known as Hirohito.
In this photo book, there are many photos of Showa Emperor and Empress, also many of Imperial Family such as Emperor, Empress and Princes today.
You can see a history of the imperial family through many valued photos in this book. There are some photos with dignitary in the world.
Photos are in full color basically, some are B&W because taken in old period.
The records contain speeches of Showa Emperor such as New Year Greeting, Greet for President Reagan and other dignitary, Radio speech on August 15th in 1945, speech in Tokyo Olymplcs and so on.
Even if you don't understand Japanese, you will enjoy this book through many photos.
