TITLE Showa Tenran Jiai (This is first Tenran Jiai)
It is composed of 2volumes.(one book is entitled"Tenran Jiai" and another book is entitled"Budo Hokan")
Publication Year 1930(Showa 5)

This is a super delux edition edited by Imperial Household Agency and is ,so-called,Ten Kin Bon.
Ten means top of the book,Kin means Gold and Bon means Book.As pics shows,Gold Book.

A various kinds of Martial Arts such as Judo,Kendo were held in the presence of Emperor Showa.It is called "Tenranjiai"Tenran Jiai were held three times.This Tenran Jiai is the first one.

Leading figures such as Hakudo Nakayama,Jigoro kano (Founder of Judo),Hajime Isogai,Shuichi Nagaoka,took part in this great match,as umpire.

Nakayama Hakudo (1873?-1958), also known as Nakayama Hiromichi, was a Japanese martial artist and founder of the iaido style Musō Shinden-ryū. He is the only person to have received both judan (10th degree) and hanshi (master instructor) ranks in kendo, iaido, and jodo from the All Japan Kendo Federation. In addition, he held an instructor's license in Shinto Muso-ryū[1] and a Menkyo kaiden in Shindo Munen-ryū making him the 7th soke of that system. He was the 18th and last Sōke (head master) of the Shimomura-ha (branch) of Hasegawa Eishin Ryu Iaijutsu.


Unlike other Tenran Jiai,this book contains Jukenjutsu Match.
